College Transition Bridge

Enhancing student transitions from high school to higher education and beyond.

What is CT Bridge?

College Transition Bridge (CT Bridge) enhances student transitions from high school to higher education and career readiness. Building on the success of the Math Pipeline Readiness Project (M-PReP) initiated in 2013, which notably benefitted students at Dinuba High School in 2018, CT Bridge was developed by Dr. Nicole Korgie.  With its recently updated curriculum, enhancing professional development, and utilizing available resources effectively, CT Bridge aims to equip students with the tools and support necessary for successful academic and career paths.

Resource Utilization & Demonstrated Rationale

Delivered asynchronously via Canvas, with 10 cumulative hours of face-to-face contact, the project is monitored by high school teachers. The CT Bridge curriculum is personalized for each student, helping them navigate college orientations in a manageable, supportive setting.

Current CT Bridge Funding

Awarded in January 2020, the RPED (Rural Postsecondary Education and Economic Development) Grant aims to support educational and economic development in rural areas. CT Bridge aligns with these goals by expanding educational pathways, integrating regional workforce needs, and enhancing student support from high school through college and career.

  • Curriculum Expansion: integrates regional workforce needs and provides streamlined educational pathways for career readiness.
  • Professional Development: Extends the Professional Development to high school staff to include insights into regional workforce demands, relevant college majors, degree requirements, and math prerequisites.
